In 1967 Herreshoff authorized George to continue building an authorized reproduction of the Herreshoff Bronze 10 Ga. Saluting Cannon. These cannons are carefully proportioned copies of the cannons used on Navy ships arround the world. All the cannons sold by the Cannon Store are built to the highest standards.  We offer the Herreshoff Saluting Cannon as well as the CG Cannon developed for the US Navy and found aboard the USS Anzio.

Also offered is the Famous Winchester Model 98 Breech Loading Signal Cannon from the Bellmore Johnson Co. under exclusive license from the Winchester/Olin Corp. It has been the pride and joy of yachtsmen & sportsmen before the turn of the 19th century. This reproduction of the Model 1898 Winchester Signal Cannon, exact in every detail, even the original wooden Winchester box has been duplicated. The Barrels on all models are machined from solid round bar and are mounted on cast two wheel undercarriages to the original specifications. The chrome plated model was offered in the late thirties. In 1970 the Brass Presentation Model complete with mahogany base and brass plaque was introduced as a luxury gift. The Presentation Brass Model is ideal for marine use on your yacht. It makes a great retirement gift as well. For over 100 years the Winchester '98' has served the yachting world well. Used for signaling sunrise & sunset.
